Vintage Viking Glass Epic Long Tail Bird in Bluenique — the highly collectible deep cobalt blue.
Made by the Viking Glass Company in New Martinsville, WV between 1962-1970. This was a best-seller in their popular "Epic" line and is a classic example of Mid-Century Modern figural art glass.
This piece features a solid, rounded body with a small pointed beak and the signature very long, straight tail. Examples with the tail fully intact are an excellent find — this tail is notoriously fragile.
